During the holiday season, my family and I drove around to look at lights. One street stood out to me in particular because each house had the same design (a tree made out of lights) but each also used their own style and colors. This reminded me of writers. We all do the same thing, but we each have our own ways of doing so. God created us all uniquely, and we can use this in our writing.
Now, from the outside, all writing might look the same. There are going to be words on paper no matter what genre or format you use. But, it’s when we look closely at those words that we truly learn about the writer. One person could be writing a piece of meaningless notes, another could be writing a novel that will be remembered for hundreds of years to come. Each of us has the capability and the potential to write something great, but we also have the capability and potential to dedicate that writing to the Father. If you are aiming to achieve great writing, and are aiming to use that same writing to glorify God, He sees that.
“For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods”.
– Psalms 96:4
So, I ask you, how will you use your writing?
I love this! "Each of us has the capability and the potential to write something great, but we also have the capability and potential to dedicate that writing to the Father. If you are aiming to achieve great writing, and are aiming to use that same writing to glorify God, He sees that." That's so good, Molly!
